Regent’s Park is hosting a picnic for thousands of people this weekend. With grub from London’s best resturants + famous chefs, live music and fine wine, the Taste Festival is going to be a feast for hungry bellies.
Expect such culinary delights as grilled fillet of seabream, strawberry and champagne jelly, pumpkin and seafood curry and braised beef and potato gratin. Veggies will be spoilt for choice too. Oh, and Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson are going to be there. Buy your tickets here.
Lindsay Lohan will be the face of the Convent Garden Swap Shop in London on 19th and 20th July. Drop off any unwanted clothes up to three weeks before the event and get a Swap Card credited with points. You can then spend your points on other people’s cast offs. A collection of photographs for Vanity Fair magazine are on display at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. About 150 images of Albert Einstein, Charlie Chaplin, Jean Harlow, Arthur Miller and Madonna are on show at the touring exhibition in Edinburgh. Some of the images date back to as early as 1913. This image of Cary Grant by George Hoyningen-Huene was published in 1934. The exhibition runs until September. More info
Guy About Town John Gough hit the red carpet at the Sex and the City world premiere and reported all the gossip from the glamorous side of London’s clubland. Z-listers, top clubs and hedonistic events were just another day’s work for John!
