If you have a dream about how you’d like your life to be, and you put your heart and soul into achieving it, you can guarantee it’s going to come true. Stop beating yourself up for being stuck in the same place. Live by your instincts and ignore distractions. If that means saying goodbye to people who are no good for you, that’s the choice you’ll have to make. It’s no sacrifice if it leads you to a better place.
If you want marriage, waste no time on people who don’t. If you want to be rich, live as prudently as the poor. If you want a new career, start building contacts in that industry. Every person is a door to a new world.
Strive for a life that allows you to be more spontaneous. That might mean clearing debts before you can be more adventurous, ending a relationship that is holding you back, downgrading to a smaller house to allow more financial freedom, making friends with happier, carefree people or changing jobs. The truth is, you know what you want and where you want to be. If you really aren’t sure, start by getting rid of the stuff that makes you unhappy.
